We are so glad that you stopped by to visit! At Vestal United Methodist Church you will find a diverse group of people, each unique, with their own story,at different stages of life and with their walk with God. Here, everyone is accepted for who they are, and encouraged base on their specific situation and needs. Most importantly - everyone is a part of our family.
Our church building is temporarily closed due to the government mandates for the COVOD-19 virus. You can still worship with us each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. on Facebook or, watch videos from past worship services right here on our website.
NOTE: When you follow the link to our Facebook page you may need to scroll down to find our worship service.
We are using a new program for our emails. With this several people have reported them going into their junk or spam folders. We are working on our end to optimize the emails so they will not go into these folders. If you find one in your folder you can right click on it and mark it as not spam or junk mail. There should also be an option to always accept email from the firstname.lastname@example.org email address.
All updates from VUMC will be posted here.
"I see Vestal United Methodist Church as a place for all people regardless of age, race, gender, cultural background, or sexual orientation. We
welcome all people as part of our church family. We hope that all who pass through our doors can experience the grace and forgiveness of God, and find ways to experience together with us love, hope,
In this church family, all people can come to know themselves as a child of God. We seek to offer a place to learn, to grow in faith, and to use your gifts and blessings in service to others in God's name. This is a safe place for you to be yourself and to be at home."
Opportunity to remember or honor a loved one with a new Bible:
Our church would like to replace the Bibles that we use during our worship services . They have become faded and the bindings are getting worn now. The current Bibles will be placed on a table for previous families that honored a loved one to pick up, or they may decide to donate them somewhere else. We will need around 170 new Bibles and are trying to purchase all large print and a version that is appropriate for our church. We will be placing three Bibles in each pew.
Would you like to remember or honor a loved one with a brand new Bible for our sanctuary? A plate with your name(s) will be placed in the fronts of these special Bibles. The Memorial and Honorary Gifts committee will be keeping the records of the names of the honorees and memorial recipients for us. This campaign will run from now until March 30th. An order form for you to use is here below or you may pick one up from the table in the under balcony area. Thank you for helping with this project !
